If you’re like me, and you’ve suffered from excessive armpit sweat, then you’ve probably wondered why people have to sweat at all. The sweat glands in our armpits are called apocrine glands. These sweat glands don’t actually become active until after puberty, and they contain fatty materials. The bacteria in our armpits mix with the secretion of the apocrine gland and that’s what can cause armpit odor.

Try to wear clothes that are made from natural, breathable fibers such as cotton, linen, etc. Avoid clothing that traps air and doesn’t allow air circulation around the armpits such as, heavy wool, synthetic fabrics, tight fabrics, etc.
