Armpit Sweat – Tips To Help You Destress Your Life And Sweat Less
There have been times when I feel like I finally have my armpit sweating under control, and then I’ll receive some bad news, or I’ll find a bill that is two weeks overdue, and in just a few minutes, my armpits will be soaked with sweat. At times like that, I wish I could take the saying, “don’t sweat it”, and really apply it to my life.

I figured out that stress was causing me to sweat more than usual. And when I sweat, I really sweat. So I decided that a great way to help control my sweaty armpits was to relax. That’s right, relax. It may sound simple, but stress can actually be a hyperhidrosis trigger, so hopefully, the less stressed you are, the less your armpits will sweat.

You may not have the time or resources to plan an elaborate vacation to an exotic place, but you can plan a “stay-cation”. A stay-cation is where you have a vacation in your home town. Your stay-cation can be whatever helps you relax: watching movies, spending quality time with friends, sleeping in until noon, golfing all day, cooking, checking into a hotel, reading, etc. It doesn’t really matter what you do on your stay-cation, all that matters is that you treat it like an actual vacation. When you go back to your normal routine, you will feel more relaxed and hopefully have less armpit sweat.

Take a deep breath. I don’t know about you, but when I am stressed, I start breathing rapidly and that’s usually when my armpit sweat starts. When I feel stress induced panic setting in, I take several slow, deep breaths. If I can, I close my eyes and picture the situation I am stressed about being resolved. This gives me hope that the situation isn’t that horrible after all, and my armpit sweat usually decreases because I don’t feel as anxious.

Another way to relax is to take 20-30 minutes out of everyday and have “me time”. Me time is whatever you want it to be. It’s something you do that benefits you and only you. Do you like to paint? Your me time can be finishing that painting you started last year. Are you an aspiring writer? Write 300 words everyday and that book will be finished before you know it. Do you love photography? Take pictures every day and in 6 months, take your best pictures and self publish a coffee table book. By taking time to focus on yourself, you will find that your stress levels will decrease and so will your armpit sweat.

Practicing yoga and tai chi are invaluable in fighting stress induced armpit sweat. I used to think that I had to be extremely flexible to try yoga, but I found out that isn’t the case at all. Once I finish the workouts, I actually feel like I have a new lease on life. My head seems clearer, and I feel ready to take on anything. When I am practicing tai chi, I visualize my sweaty armpits being a thing of the past.
